The extreme spike in temperature is causing discomfort to all!
For those on the streets it is even worse. Exposure to the elements is as difficult during the summer months as it is in winter. Staying hydrated while living on the street is a just one of the challenges; then there is the physical discomfort that occurs with ill-fitting footwear, as well as health problems such as infections, rashes, sunburn, etc.
The Dans la rue van, which is out on the streets five nights a week, is now distributing more than (400) bottles of water a night!
Please help by donating a case of water. Call us at 514-526-5222 and we can advise you on the various drop-off locations. If you decide as a group of employees to do a collection, please call us and we will pick up directly from your office. Please provide us a 48 hours notice. |
