Prevention is a priority even with kids who are already living on the streets. Today's youths are often taught to value power, respect and money above all. Our job is to show them that, in the end, crime is not an effective shortcut to any of these.

Dans la rue employs a full-time Youth Prevention Counsellor at Chez Pops to help kids build a life beyond the clutches of crime. We show them how powerful and lasting natural highs can be and reinforce that they can be respected for who they are and not just for what they do. The activities we organize help us to reach out to them and help them to reach out to us.
